New Delhi, Sep 26: Popular Bhojpuri actor Dinesh Lal Yadav, also known as Nirahua, revealed in a recent interview that veteran actress Jaya Bachchan once hit him with a stick “very hard” during the shoot of the film Ganga Devi (2012).

Nirahua, who acted alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, shared the behind-the-scenes incident on Siddharth Kannan’s YouTube channel. He explained that Jaya, playing his on-screen mother, was supposed to scold and lightly hit him with a stick during a scene. However, she took the scene seriously and hit him hard.

He said, “She beat me up a couple of times, and I told her, ‘You’re hitting me for real!’ She replied, ‘Then why did you beat up my daughter-in-law?’ I said, ‘That was just acting, but you really hit me!’”

Despite the unexpected intensity, Nirahua now looks back at the incident fondly, calling it a blessing. “After all, how many people have received the opportunity of working with both Jaya Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan together?” he remarked.
