NSS inauguration, orientation celebrated with sapling plantation

Mangaluru, Sep 25: NSS activities inauguration, orientation & NSS Day celebration held at Governement First Grade College in Kavoor on September 24. This programme aimed to welcome new NSS volunteers, familiarize them with NSS programmes & commemorate the founding of the National service scheme.

The resource person of the programme Rekha S N, associate professor, Department of English, Dr G Shankar Government Women's First Grade College and Post Graduate Centre, Ajjarakad, Udupi was inaugurated programme by lamp lighting & watering fruit sapling. The resource person motivated NSS volunteers through her valuable experiences and insights as NSS officer. She also highlighted the profound impact of service & its impact on Nation.

Principal Dr Geetha M L presided the programme, Mamatha U, NSS officer welcomed the gathering with key note address. IQAC co-ordinator Dr Theresse Periera, Student Parishadh cordinator Dr Santhosh Pinto & NSS leaders were present in the programme.

The programme concluded with vote of thanks by NSS leader Shashidhra, II BCom. Lavanya compered the programme. NSS Day was celebrated meaningfully by planting 10 fruit saplings in the college campus.
