Mumbai, Sep 25: Vikrant Massey, fresh off his National Award win for 12th Fail, has bagged his first Dharma Productions project, the actor confirmed in a recent interview.

Speaking to Times Now, Massey said, “You will see me doing that soon. I think this news is already out. I’m doing Dostana 2. I’m doing my first Dharma movie.” Known for his versatile acting, Vikrant hinted at the glamorous Dharma makeover. “Usme you will see me wearing good designer clothes. Karan sir will make sure that I have good clothes and I wear those fancy sunglasses. Shooting somewhere in Europe,” he revealed.

Vikrant, however, stayed tight-lipped on the female lead, saying, “I think wo main nahi bolunga. Wo Karan sir hi bolenge toh behtar hai. Uski bhi toh badi announcement hai.” Confirming the casting of Lakshya, he added, “Lakshya is a part of the movie. But let the girl be a surprise.”

On the Dostana 2 recast, Dharma Productions had issued a statement in 2021: “Due to professional circumstances, on which we have decided to maintain dignified silence - we will be recasting Dostana 2, directed by Collin D'Cunha. Please wait for the official announcement soon.” The project had earlier stirred speculation about a rift between Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan, though both tried to maintain silence. Janhvi Kapoor and Kartik Aaryan were initially slated to headline the film, and the recast kept fans guessing for years until the official updates.

With Vikrant on board, fans can now expect the next chapter of the highly anticipated Dostana 2 to blend star power, style, and Dharma’s signature cinematic flair.
