Mangaluru: St Agnes College honours ACCA achievers

Mangaluru, Sep 24: The department of commerce, St Agnes College (Autonomous), in collaboration with International Skill Development Corporation (ISDC), honoured the ACCA achievers from the June 2024 to June 2025 sessions on September 12.

During the felicitation programme, three affiliates Lenisha Hezil Menezes, Nisha D'Souza, and Alma Lasrado were recognised. Additionally, 39 students who successfully cleared various ACCA papers were also honored.

The students recognized were Esha D'Silva, Archana K Bhat, Krupa Esther Salins, Varsha Suvarna, Vinitha Rodrigues, Manyashree, Priyan Jessica D'Souza, Srinithish, Anjolie Milagres Fernandez, Ivin Melita Sequeira, Lenvisha D'Silva, Madhushree K, Nishel Mathias, Rachana P S, Nidhi M S, S Navyashree, Smithashree S, Sanjana Bajal, Alima Hanaan, Arthur D'Souza, Ashline Princita Dantis, Dafny Melora D'Souza, Fathima Nashwa, Misha Aroza, Risha Johanna Lasrado, Roslin Veigas, Salma, Serena Francine Saldanha, Aysha Lamha M K, Misbah Banu, Nabhan Muzaffar, Pranjali Shet, Ruth Melanie D'Souza, Sweedal Liona Monis, Kruthika Janardhan, Wineva Wiyona Vas, Preemal Monis, Gulfin Naz, and Sheryl Sequeira.

Lalith Rai, head of BPM operations at Infosys, Mangaluru was the chief guest of the programme. In his speech, Lalith Rai commended the achievers for their hard work and highlighted the promising career landscape awaiting them, noting the evolving roles within the accounting and finance sector.

The principal, Sr Dr M Venissa AC acknowledged the hard work of the newly qualified professionals. She also shared words of encouragement, urging the BCom students enrolled in the ACCA programme to persevere in their academic journey.

Anusha Noronha, the ACCA coordinator, acknowledged the outstanding achievement of Alisha Ruth Saldanha, an Alumna and ACCA affiliate from St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru. Although absent from the program, Saldanha was recognised for securing the prestigious All-India Rank 2 and a remarkable World Rank 11 in the March 2025 ACCA examination session.

Lenisha Hezil Menezes, Nisha D'Souza, and Alma Lasrado shared their personal journeys, offering valuable insights and encouragement to current students by highlighting the challenges they overcame and the bright career horizons that await them upon completing their papers and achieving affiliate status.

The felicitation programme served as a powerful motivator, celebrating the achievements of the affiliates and showcasing the tangible rewards of dedication, thereby inspiring current students to strive for similar success in their own academic and professional journeys.
