Ahmedabad, Sep 23: A disturbing video circulating on social media shows a man carrying a snake and soliciting money from passengers aboard the Ahmedabad Sabarmati Express. The reptile, believed to be a non-venomous species like a rat snake, was paraded mere inches from commuters, creating fear and discomfort. Several passengers can be seen handing money to the man.

The clip, reportedly filmed after the man boarded at Mungaoli (MP), quickly went viral, drawing condemnation online. Social media users called it a case of extortion targeting hardworking commuters, with many sharing similar incidents from Indian Railways.

Rail authorities responded after the video surfaced. The RailwaySeva X account asked the uploader to provide journey details and mobile number for investigation, directing them to contact the Railway Protection Force (RPF) via railmadad.indianrailways.gov.in or dial 139 for redressal.

In a separate incident of unruly behaviour, a woman allegedly travelling without a ticket was caught on video arguing with a Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE). The woman, whose identity remains unknown, claimed mistreatment by the staff, prompting outrage on social media and calls for strict action by authorities.
