Srinivas University, Institute of Aviation Studies organises four-day dental camp

Mangaluru, Sep 21: The Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, in association with the Srinivas Institute of Dental Sciences, Mukka, successfully organised a four-day dental camp from September 10 to 12 and on September 17. The camp aimed at promoting oral health awareness and providing free dental care services to students, ensuring both preventive and professional guidance.

The inaugural programme was graced by the presence of Dr Sulochana, tutor, Srinivas Institute of Dental Sciences, Mukka, Dr Pavithra Kumari, dean, Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, Anjana TV, head of department, and Prithvi, NSS coordinator.

The event commenced with welcoming remarks and an emphasis on the importance of oral health for young adults, followed by the launch of the camp activities.

Over the course of the camp, around 330 students from various BBA Aviation Management, BBA Aviation and Logistics Management and BBA Aviation, Travel and Tourism Management courses enthusiastically participated. Each student underwent free dental check-ups. This initiative not only benefited students by addressing their immediate dental concerns but also spread valuable awareness on maintaining long-term oral hygiene practices.

The camp concluded on September 17 with a valedictory session. The closing programme highlighted the success of the initiative and expressed gratitude to all contributors. Special acknowledgment was given to the dean, head of department, faculty members, and the dedicated team from Srinivas Institute of Dental Sciences, Mukka, whose combined efforts made the Dental Camp 2025 a resounding success.

The event reinforced Srinivas University’s commitment to holistic student well-being by integrating healthcare awareness with academic life.
