Udupi: SMVITM students secure third place in HackMitten 2.0 national hackathon

Udupi, Sep 19: Students of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, showcased their innovation and technical excellence by winning prizes in HackMitten 2.0, a 24-hour national-level hackathon held on September 12–13, at Maharaja Institute of Technology, Thandavapura.

The prestigious event, organized by the department of computer science & engineering in collaboration with MIT ACM student chapter, International Valley of Dreams, and DS Edify, witnessed the participation of over 100 teams from across the country. Out of these, only five teams advanced to the grand finale, making the competition intense and highly challenging.

Team SMVITM Power-Rangers secured the 3rd place with their innovative project, earning not only accolades but also an internship offers, making the achievement even more significant. This success stands as a testimony to the creativity, problem-solving skills, and technical expertise of SMVITM students, reflecting the institute’s commitment to nurturing young innovators capable of competing at the national level.

The management and the principal of SMVITM congratulated the winning team for bringing laurels to the institution and wished them success in their entire future endeavours.
