Mangaluru: Srinivas University organises student council inauguration ceremony 2025-26

Mangaluru, Sep 15: The student council inauguration ceremony for the academic year 2025–2026 of the Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, was held on September 12 with great enthusiasm and dignity. The programme was gracefully compered by Pratheeksha S Shetty assistant professor and Prithvi, assistant professor, ensuring the smooth flow of events.

The ceremony commenced with a prayer invoking blessings for a successful academic year. Varshitha, UG aviation management course coordinator, welcomed the gathering, followed by Aishwarya, UG aviation & logistics management course coordinator, who highlighted the purpose of the day.

The highlight of the event was the Badge Distribution and the official inauguration of the student council, conducted by Dr Pavithra Kumari, dean of the Institute of Aviation Studies. The newly elected council members, including president Meenakshi Rajeev, vice president Tanveer Singh, secretary Kshithi K, and joint secretary Varshith, were formally introduced, along with the coordinators of various forums and committees.

The oath-taking was administered by Roshin K Sibi, student welfare officer, who also extended his wishes to the council. Anjana T V, head of the department, addressed the students, appreciating their leadership spirit and encouraging them to take up responsibilities with dedication.

The dean, Dr Pavithra Kumari, then delivered her inspiring presidential remarks, motivating the students to lead with responsibility and commitment. The vote of thanks was proposed by Raksha, assistant professor, acknowledging the efforts of all contributors. The ceremony concluded on a patriotic note with the rendition of the National Anthem, marking the successful inauguration of the student council 2025–26.
