Media Release

Mangaluru, Sep 15: The Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University conducted a life skills activity focused on ‘Tea Preparation and Sale’ for the second-year and final-year students of BBA aviation management, aviation and logistics management, and aviation, travel & tourism management programmes.

The activity was organized under the valuable guidance of Dr Pavithra Kumari, dean, Institute of Aviation along with the support of Anjana T V, head of the department, and the dedicated faculty members.

The initiative aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical application by engaging students in a real-time entrepreneurial exercise. Students were actively involved in every stage of the process, from preparing the tea to designing sales strategies and interacting with customers.

This hands-on experience allowed them to explore the marketing techniques, sales approaches, and customer handling, while also emphasizing the importance of teamwork and collaboration. In addition, students gained valuable insights into financial planning, cost management, and pricing decisions, which strengthened their understanding of business operations.

The activity not only encouraged innovative thinking and creativity but also instilled confidence in communication and negotiation. By simulating a small-scale business environment, the event provided students with a platform to translate classroom concepts into practice, thereby enhancing their entrepreneurial mindset.

Overall, the life skills activity proved to be both enjoyable and impactful, successfully combining academic learning with practical exposure, and leaving students with an enriching experience that will contribute to their professional growth.
