Mangaluru: Srinivas University organises orientation programme 2025

Mangaluru, Sep 9: Srinivas University Institute of Physiotherapy & Institute of Occupational Therapy organised its Orientation Programme 2025 on September 8 at New campus of Pandeshwar.

The programme was held under the guidance of Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, honourable chancellor of Srinivas University and president of the A Shama Rao Foundation.

Dr A Srinivas Rao, pro-chancellor of Srinivas University, presided over the programme and delivered the keynote address. In today’s world, the reliance on physiotherapy is greater than ever. This noble profession instils confidence and empowers individuals to lead healthier lives. At the beginning of their journey, students focus on learning the fundamentals, but as they progress, they gradually explore the vast dimensions of the field. With the rapid advancement of technology, the opportunities in Physiotherapy are expanding, ensuring that students will shine brightly in the future as skilled professionals.

Srinivas University Board of Governors member, Vijayalakshmi R Rao, graced the orientation with her esteemed presence, inspiring the gathering with her words of wisdom. Her encouragement set a positive tone, motivating students to embrace their academic journey with confidence and enthusiasm.

Dr K Satyanarayan Reddy, vice-chancellor of Srinivas University, elaborated on the university's offerings, infrastructure, and academic excellence. Dr Ajay Kumar, development registrar of Srinivas University, administered the oath, instilling in the students a sense of responsibility, integrity, and dedication towards their academic and professional journey.

The event began with a warm welcome address by Dr Trishala Noronha, dean, Institute of Physiotherapy. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Florance Angelin, dean, Institute of Occupational Therapy. The programme was compered by Prof Rachana Ruthu D and Dr Radhika.
