Media Release

Mangaluru, Sep 9: Teachers’ Day is a cherished occasion to express heartfelt gratitude and deep respect to the mentors who illuminate the path of knowledge and wisdom. It is a celebration of the guiding lights who, with patience and dedication, shape not only the minds but also the hearts of their students. More than a day of tribute, it is a gentle reminder of the selfless service of teachers who nurture young minds, inspire dreams, and instill values that last a lifetime.

Teachers’ Day was celebrated at St Agnes PU College in a unique manner this year—with a glamorous Bollywood twist. The countdown began weeks in advance, as students worked enthusiastically to ensure their teachers had a memorable and festive time.

The day unfolded with grandeur, featuring several exciting games organized by the students as a gesture of affection and gratitude towards their teachers. The faculty was pleasantly surprised by the ingenuity and confidence with which the students planned and executed the activities, all while keeping the surprises under wraps.

Students also acknowledged the vital role teachers play in inspiring hope, igniting imagination, and instilling a love of learning. The wholehearted participation of the teachers added to the fun, making the celebration lively and unforgettable.

The PTA members, too, left no stone unturned in expressing their warmth and appreciation to the teachers, who remain a beacon of hope and motivation in both sunny and cloudy times. Their meticulously planned show was a riot of colours, filled with music, drama, and vibrant performances.

The teachers were truly touched by the resourcefulness of the students and the thoughtfulness behind the programme. The event was graced by the presence of principal Sr Norine D’Souza, vice principal Sr Janet Sequeira, faculty members, PTA vice president Shabnam, PTA joint secretary Lavina Mascarenhas and the PTA members.
