Karkala: MPM Govt College hosts entrepreneurship development programme for BCom students

Karkala, Sep 9: The Department of Commerce, MPM Government First Grade College, Karkala, in association with IQAC, organised an entrepreneurship development programme aimed at nurturing entrepreneurial skills among students.

Varija V Kamath, entrepreneur, created awareness about entrepreneurship by sharing her own business experiences, while Reshma, entrepreneur from Karkala, delivered a lecture on empowerment of women through self-help groups, citing examples from tailoring and fashion designing ventures.

Dr Chandravathi, head of the Department of Commerce, welcomed the gathering. Vinay, IQAC coordinator, delivered the introductory remarks. The event was presided over by principal Prof Suresh Rai K.

Divya Devadiga of III BCom (A) compered the programme, while Bhavishya of III BCom (A) proposed the vote of thanks.

A total of 108 students of I BCom benefitted from the programme.
