Mangaluru: Teachers’ Day celebration held at St Aloysius High School, Kodialbail

Mangaluru, Sep 9: The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of St Aloysius High School organized a grand Teachers’ Day celebration in the school hall to honour and appreciate the teachers of the institution.

The event was graced by rector Fr Melwin Pinto SJ, Fr Edward Rodrigues as the special guest, Fr Johnson Pinto SJ, headmaster, assistant headmaster Lancy D’Souza, retired staff, and both teaching and non-teaching members of the staff were also present, adding warmth and enthusiasm to the occasion.

The programme began with a soulful prayer song led by Jasmine D'Souza and team followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. Reshma Bhat vice president of the PTA, extended a warm welcome to the gathering. A vibrant welcome dance was performed by Kavitha and Anita’s team, setting a festive tone for the event.

A wonderful skit was presented by Laveena Moras and team, showcasing creativity and teamwork, while a lively Bollywood dance performance added another sparkling highlight to the celebration.

The book ‘Muhammad Who is He…?’, translated into Kannada by Sabeeha Fathima, was released during the programme by the headmaster.

Jasmine D’Souza who compered the programme well, ensured that every moment was smooth, engaging, and meaningful.

Fun-filled games were conducted by Arun D’Souza and Vincent Pinto keeping everyone entertained and involved.

In a touching gesture, the parents honoured the teachers by presenting them with valuable gifts, expressing their gratitude and appreciation.

The vote of thanks was proposed by Edna Mascarenhas, secretary of the PTA, who acknowledged the collective efforts that made the event successful.

The celebration concluded with a delicious meal, leaving everyone with fond memories and a deep sense of appreciation. The parents’ efforts made this event a heartwarming experience, making teachers feel at home, valued, and truly special.
