Udupi, Sep 5: The Teacher’s Day celebration was held in St Mary’s English Medium School, Kannarpady, Udupi on September 4 at St Mary’s Auditorium.
The programme commenced with a soulful prayer song by the student choir, setting a reverent tone for the celebration. The ceremony was graced by the presence of the principal, vice principal, and academic coordinators.
The welcome address was delivered by head boy Snehal Hegde, who extended a warm greeting to all teachers, guests, and students. A floral tribute was paid to the portrait of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the former president of India whose birthday is commemorated as Teacher's Day in India.





























The importance of the day was eloquently highlighted by Shanvi and Hajra, who spoke about the significance of honouring teachers and the impact they have on shaping the future of their students. The principal’s address followed, where the principal shared inspiring words and acknowledged the dedication and hard work of the teachers.
A cake was cut to celebrate the happiness of the occasion. The highlight of the event was the games for teachers, where teachers participated in fun activities and were awarded by adorable KG students. This segment brought smiles and laughter to the faces of everyone present.
The cultural programme was a spectacular showcase of group song, dance and drama performances centred on the theme of Teacher's Day. The students' energetic and heartfelt performances were a tribute to their teachers' guidance and support.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Nishka N, who expressed gratitude to all participants, teachers, and students for making the event a success. Shivani and Anushka of grade 10 anchored and ensured the smooth flow of the programme, keeping the audience engaged throughout.
This special event was organized by the school parliament honouring the revered educators who shape the minds and futures of students. The program was a heartfelt tribute to the contributions of teachers, highlighting their pivotal role in nurturing and guiding students.
