New Delhi, Sep 4: Fans of Punjabi music have reason to celebrate as Indo-Canadian pop sensation Karan Aujla is all set to make his US television debut on The tonight show starring Jimmy Fallon. The announcement came through the official social media account of the show, ending months of speculation about the Punjabi rapper’s appearance.

The tonight show’s Instagram handle reposted a behind-the-scenes video from Aujla’s recent recording session, captioned: “The moment you realise this isn't just an album, it's a global movement in the making.” The post highlighted the singer’s ambitions for major international collaborations.

The show’s page playfully tagged Aujla, asking him to perform live: “But When we doing this live on our show ? Free next Tuesday”? Aujla confirmed his appearance in response, writing, “See you Tuesday then setting the date for September 9.

Fans had previously speculated about Aujla following in the footsteps of Diljit Dosanjh, the first Punjabi artist to feature on the show in June 2024. While earlier rumours proved false, this official confirmation has sent fans into a frenzy.
