Poonch, Aug 25: The cricketing fraternity in Jammu and Kashmir was left in shock after budding cricketer Fareed Hussain from Poonch district lost his life in a tragic road accident, reportedly on August 20. CCTV footage of the incident, now widely shared on social media, has stirred grief and anger among the community.

According to reports, Fareed was riding his scooter when a driver suddenly opened the door of a parked car on the roadside. The unexpected act left him with no time to brake or swerve, leading to a direct collision. The impact threw him off the scooter, leaving him critically injured. He was rushed to hospital, but doctors declared him dead soon after.

The accident has sparked outrage online, with many pointing out how careless actions on the road can turn fatal. Police have taken up investigations into the case.
