Lourdes Central School KG section celebrates Independence week with patriotic fervour

Mangaluru, Aug 19: The kindergarten section of Lourdes Central School celebrated the freedom through talent, passion, and patriotic spirit on August 14 under the theme 'Tiny tots with Patriotic thoughts'.

Principal Fr Johnson L Sequeira and academic coordinator Linette Pereira graced the occasion.

The programme commenced with a prayer song followed by the welcome address by the students of KG 2.

Thereafter the stage was taken over by the students of Pre KG, KG 1 and KG 2. The Pre KG students presented a role play on freedom fighters, which was truly a feast to the eyes. Patriotic dance and patriotic singing by the students of KG1 & 2 added grace and meaning to the celebration. The enthusiasm was truly remarkable, with students showcasing their artistic skills and knowledge of India's freedom struggle. The event was well-attended by parents, who cheered on their little ones with pride.

In connection with Independence week, kindergarten section conducted series of activities on August 6 and 7. The event aimed to instil National pride and recall the sacrifices of India's brave freedom fighters.

Pre KG students dressed up as freedom fighters and national leaders, KG 1 students presented their patriotism through patriotic dance and KG 2 students participated in a patriotic singing competition in large numbers.

Principal Fr Johnson L Sequeira had all praises and appreciation for the students for their active participation in the entire Independence week activities. He acknowledged and appreciated the parents' presence and support in all the school activities. He congratulated the teachers for preparing the children to give their best.

The programme concluded with National Anthem followed by photo session.

Overall, it was a day filled with patriotic vibes.
