Media Release

Mangaluru, Aug 16: Podar International School, celebrated the 79th Independence Day with grandeur and patriotic zeal. The ceremony commenced with the flag hoisting followed by a graceful welcome dance. Students presented the importance of the day, a soulful group song by grade 2, an energetic dance by grade 3, and a thought-provoking skit.

A proud moment of the day was the investiture ceremony, where young leaders were conferred with their responsibilities. The occasion also witnessed the release of the school newsletter ‘Campus Root 1'.

The school was proud to have chief guest Philomena Nathalia Pinto (Retired head constable, Central Reserve Police Force), whose inspiring words motivated students to uphold discipline, responsibility, and dedication. The celebration further included an address by the principal where he said, "Independence is not what we get from the country; but it is what we give back to our country."

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks and singing the school song.
