Ahmedabad, Aug 15: Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani on Friday reiterated his commitment to the vision of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ through his infrastructure and trade initiatives.

In his Independence Day message on social media platform X, Adani shared a video highlighting the group’s contributions towards building a self-reliant India. “On this day, let us renew our pledge to our freedom, forged by the indomitable spirit of ‘Atmanirbharta’ — the spirit to innovate, to discover, to build,” he wrote. He added that from bridges to ports, laboratories to aviation, science and technology must guide India’s path forward.

Recent projects reflecting this vision include Adani Airports’ plan to invest Rs 20,000 crore in cityside infrastructure, with 70% earmarked for Mumbai and Navi Mumbai airports, aimed at boosting non-aeronautical revenues. In the power sector, Adani Power is setting up a 2,400 MW ultra-supercritical plant in Bihar’s Bhagalpur district, with a $3 billion investment to supply its entire capacity to Bihar Utilities.
