Mangaluru: Srinivas University organizes orientation programme 2025

Mangaluru, Aug 6: Srinivas University, Institute of Computer Science & Information Sciences organized its orientation programme 2025 on July 30 at the New Campus, Pandeshwara. The event was held to welcome the new batch of undergraduate students and provide them an overview of the university’s vision, academic environment, and opportunities.

The programme was held under the guidance of Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, honourable chancellor of Srinivas University and president of the A Shama Rao Foundation.

Dr A Srinivas Rao, pro-chancellor of Srinivas University, presided over the programme and delivered the keynote address. He highlighted that the BCA course, with its multiple disciplines, is bridging the gap between engineering and industry. The syllabus is well-aligned with industry needs. In today’s world, where everyone seeks rapid growth, academia must re-evaluate the current scenario. He encouraged students to move forward constructively and actively participate in extracurricular activities, as they contribute significantly to personal development.

The oath-taking ceremony was administered by Dr Ajay Kumar, development registrar, Srinivas University.

Dr K Satyanarayan Reddy, vice-chancellor of Srinivas University, elaborated on the university's offerings, infrastructure, and academic excellence.

The event began with a warm welcome address by Dr Subramanya Bhat, dean, Institute of Computer Science & Information Sciences. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Shreedhar Acharya, HoD of BCA department. The programme was compered by Prof Riya Uppala and Prof Radhika Mallya.
