Chennai, Aug 6: Nissan India has introduced a new special edition of its popular Magnite SUV — the Kuro Edition — at a starting price of Rs 8.30 lakh (ex-showroom). Inspired by the Japanese word "Kuro," meaning black, the edition features an all-black exterior and interior finish, appealing to customers seeking a sportier, sleeker look.

The Magnite Kuro Edition is based on the N-Connecta variant and is available across all existing powertrain options. Customers can now book the SUV by paying a token amount of Rs 11,000.

Aesthetic updates on the new edition include a unique Onyx Black paint, blacked-out grille and bumpers, and silver-accented black wheels. The rear gets black bumpers with chrome Magnite lettering and a Kuro Edition badge.

Inside, the all-black theme continues across the dashboard, steering wheel, roof, and center console. Key features include dual digital displays, auto-dimming IRVM, Arkamys sound system, climate control with rear AC vents, i-Key auto unlock, and an illuminated glove box.

Kuro edition pricing (Ex-showroom):

• 1.0 MT – Rs 8.30 lac
• 1.0 AMT – Rs 8.55 lac
• 1.0 Turbo MT – Rs 9.71 lac
• 1.0 Turbo CVT – Rs 10.86 lac

Mechanically, the Kuro Edition remains unchanged. It is powered by a 1.0-litre petrol engine (71 hp, 96 Nm) with MT or AMT options and a more powerful 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine (98 hp, 160 Nm) available with MT or CVT. A CNG option is also available for the base engine variant.
