Students of SMVITM secure second place in ‘HackSky: Pan India cybersecurity hackathon’

Udupi, Aug 6: The students of SMVITM Hitesh A, Yathika P Amin, Shama Patwardhan of second year Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Engineering of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & Management (SMVITM), Bantakal have participated and secured the second place in 48 hours HackSky: Pan India cybersecurity hackathon organized by MIT MAHE Bengaluru in association with Kaspersky on July 29 and 30.

The event brought together some of the most talented student innovators from across India to develop cutting-edge solutions to contemporary digital security challenges—including cyber threats, misinformation, and deep fake detection.

Participants engaged in an intensive two-day sprint to ideate, design and prototype impactful cyber security solutions with real-world applicability. The hackathon emphasized innovation, technical excellence, and strategic thinking in addressing the evolving cyber security landscape.
