Mangaluru: Mount Carmel karate students excel with strategic wins

Mangaluru, Aug 2: Mount Carmel Central School, Mangaluru is happy to celebrate the outstanding achievements of its young karate champions who demonstrated exceptional skill, strategy, and sportsmanship at the prestigious national and international competitions.

At the 7th International Karate Open Championship held on July 27, in Coimbatore, Aaron Calvin D'Souza of grade X showcased exemplary prowess in the U-21 category by securing 1st place in Kata and 3rd place in Kumite.

Adding to this victorious streak, at the 1st National Level Open Karate Championship 2025, organised by the Akila Karnataka Sports Karate Association and held recently in Davangere, the students shone brightly in their respective categories: Diya Chethan of grade VI clinched 1st place in Kata and 1st place in Kumite in the U-12 category; Vihaan Jaden Sequeira of grade V secured 2nd place in Kata and 1st place in Kumite in the U-12 category; Reegan Justin Martis of grade V bagged 1st place in Kata and 1st place in Kumite in the U-10 category.

The school management, staff, students and parents have applauded the young martial artistes for their relentless effort and passion, making them true ambassadors of the school.
