Karkala, Aug 2: In a commendable achievement, seven students from Christ King English Medium Primary and High School have been selected for the district-level table tennis tournament.
The selection took place during the Karkala taluk-level Table Tennis Tournament organised under the the department of school education, government of Karnataka, and the office of the block education officer, Karkala. The tournament was hosted at Sundara Puranik Memorial High School, Pervaje.
In the primary boys category, the team from Christ King secured first place, qualifying for the district-level tournament. The team consisted of Advit D V of grade 8, Mohammad Ayaan of grade 7, and Sheikh Mohammad Shifan.

In the primary girls category, the team bagged second place and qualified for the district tournament. The team included Aishwarya of grade 8 and Delsia D’Souza of grade 6.
In the high school boys category, the team also achieved second place. The team members were Amrith Shettigar of grade 10 and Tanmay Shetty of grade 9, who will now represent their school at the district level.
In addition, Anvish Poojary of grade 7 and Milan D’Souza of grade 6 secured first place at the taluk level, while Riya Sequeira of grade 7, Saachi Suvarna of grade 6, Srushti, Anush Shetty of grade 10, Shaun D’Souza of grade 9, and Ashwin secured second place in their respective categories.
The management, staff, and students of Christ King School have expressed immense pride and congratulated the winners for their remarkable performances.
