Korean crime thriller 'The Plot' now streaming on Lionsgate Play

Seoul, Jul 29: The Korean crime thriller The Plot has made its digital debut on Lionsgate Play, offering a gripping tale of suspense, betrayal, and survival. Directed by Lee Yo-Sup, the film centres around Brian, a contract killer who specialises in disguising murders as accidents. However, his world turns upside down when one of his own orchestrated murders nearly claims his life.

As Brian escapes death, suspicion begins to cloud his judgment, with everyone in his inner circle becoming a potential suspect. The mystery deepens as he races to uncover who wants him dead, navigating a treacherous game of deception and survival.

The movie stars Gang Dong-Won, Lee Mi-Sook, Tang Joon-Sung, Yoon Bok-in, and Lee Doo-Seok in key roles. Backed by producers Eugene Lee and Hyo-Jin Oh, the film features music by Chong Jee-Hong and Kim Tae-Seong and cinematography by Ki S. Hwang.

Released in theatres on May 29, 2024, The Plot received a lukewarm response and currently holds an IMDb rating of 4.8/10. With its digital release, the makers are hoping for a better reception from OTT audiences.
