NASA set to lose 20% workforce, says spokesperson

Washington, Jul 26: Around 20% of employees at the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) are set to depart, a spokesperson for the agency confirmed on Friday.

Approximately 3,870 individuals are expected to leave the agency, though the figure may change in the coming days and weeks. Following the departures, NASA's workforce is projected to stand at around 14,000 employees, the spokesperson added.

No official reason has been disclosed for the large-scale exit.
