Mangaluru, Jul 25: The Department of Perfusion Technology, Srinivas University – Institute of Allied Health Sciences, organized a hands-on training session on ‘Circuit assemble, prime & monitoring’ on July 19 at the Engineering Block. The session was designed to provide practical exposure and enhance technical skills relevant to perfusion technology students.
The training was led by George Saju, a reputed cardiac perfusionist and ECMO coordinator from Suchirayu Hospital, Hubballi. With his rich clinical experience, Saju demonstrated and guided participants through essential perfusion techniques, focusing on circuit setup, priming, and real-time monitoring practices.





The session witnessed active participation and enthusiasm from the students, who gained invaluable practical insights into cardiac perfusion systems. The event was coordinated by Sana Farhath, convenor, department of Perfusion Technology, under the guidance of Prof Pavana Krishnamoorthy, dean of SIAHS, Mangaluru.
The programme concluded successfully with excellent feedback from attendees, highlighting its effectiveness in bridging theoretical knowledge with clinical application.
