Chennai, Jul 23: Tamil comedy drama Baby and Baby, written and directed by Prathap, has finally arrived on OTT. Streaming now on AhaTamil, the film takes viewers on a wild, hilarious ride involving two couples, an accidental baby swap, and a whirlwind of confusion and chaos.
The story revolves around two families heading to introduce their newborns to eager grandparents—one expecting a grandson, the other a granddaughter. However, a mix-up at the airport sends both families into a frenzy. In an attempt to avoid panic, the fathers are kept unaware of the switch, while the rest embark on a frantic search. What follows is a comic yet emotional exploration of family ties, societal expectations, and the rigidity of orthodox mindsets.
Backed by a strong ensemble cast including Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Sathyaraj, Motta Rajendran, Jai, Illavarasu, and Singampuli, Baby and Baby delivers laugh-out-loud moments while also touching upon deeper themes.
The film features music by D Imman, cinematography by T P Sarathy S I C A, and editing by K Anandha Lingakumar. Released in theatres on February 14, the movie received mixed reviews and an IMDb rating of 4.6/10. Despite this, the makers are optimistic about its reception on the digital platform.
