Chennai, Jul 20: In a move that has left fans both disappointed and hopeful, music composer and singer Anirudh Ravichander has officially announced the postponement of his much-awaited Hukum Chennai concert, which was originally slated for July 26 at Thiruvidanthai.

Taking to social media on Sunday, the star composer shared that the decision was made due to unprecedented demand for tickets and space constraints at the current venue. Addressing his fans—fondly referred to as the "Hukum Family"—Anirudh stated, “Due to the incredible love and overwhelming demand, the Hukum Chennai concert scheduled for July 26 at Thiruvidanthai is being postponed. We’ll be back soon – bigger, better, and louder!”

A formal statement issued by the organisers revealed that the current venue is unable to accommodate the growing number of fans, and therefore, the concert will be shifted to a larger venue on a new date, to be announced shortly.

To ensure a smooth and premium concert experience with enhanced production, hassle-free entry and exit, the organisers assured that all ticket holders will receive full refunds within 7-10 working days through District by Zomato, the official ticketing partner.

The postponement, although unfortunate, has only amplified excitement around the grand finale of Anirudh’s Hukum World Tour 2024, which has seen tremendous success in cities across the globe. The tour, which began in Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena, was supposed to culminate with the high-voltage Chennai show.

Tickets for the Chennai concert were reportedly sold out in less than 45 minutes, reflecting the scale of Anirudh's fanbase and the frenzy surrounding the performance.

The organisers extended their heartfelt gratitude to fans for their unwavering support and patience, promising to return with an even more spectacular event that matches the Hukum hype.
