Mangaluru, Jul 19: The inauguration ceremony of the newly formed student council at Milagres PU College, Hampanakatta, was held recently in the college auditorium.

The event was presided over by Fr Bonaventure Nazareth, the correspondent of Milagres Educational Institutions who, in his address, emphasized the importance of holistic development in education. He encouraged students to shape their personalities and highlighted that a true leader should lead by example—especially in areas of discipline, punctuality, and good conduct.

Dr Michael Santhumayor, principal of Milagres Degree College, and Sylvester Mascarenhas, vice president of the Parish Pastoral Council, were present as esteemed guests during the ceremony.

Melwin Vas, principal of Milagres PU College, administered the oath to the newly elected office bearers of the Student Council.

The programme began with a warm welcome by Jyothi Rathna, and the vote of thanks was delivered by college president Vipul Shetty. The event was gracefully compered by Cheryl D’Souza.
