Mumbai, Jul 17: Investors eyeing dividend payouts from top companies like Bharti Airtel, Dabur India, HCLTech, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and 37 others should take note—Thursday (Jul 17) marks the last trading session to purchase shares and qualify for dividends, as these stocks go ex-dividend on July 18.

Under India’s T+1 settlement cycle, buying a stock on the record date will not make an investor eligible for the dividend. To qualify, one must own the shares before the record date, which means purchases must be made by July 17.

Key Dividend Announcements:

• Bharti Airtel Ltd.: Final dividend of Rs 16 per equity share for FY25.

• HCL Technologies Ltd.: Interim dividend of Rs 12 per share for Q1 FY26, amounting to a distribution of nearly Rs 3,256 crore.

• Dabur India Ltd.: Final dividend of Rs 5.25 per share for FY25.

• Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.: Final dividend of Rs 4 per share for FY25.

In total, 41 companies will trade ex-dividend on July 18, making July 17 the last chance to buy their shares if investors want to receive the upcoming dividend payments.

Dividends serve as a reward to shareholders and can come in the form of interim, final, or special payouts, depending on a company’s financial performance and policy. Investors are advised to check individual company filings for detailed eligibility and payout timelines.
