Goa, Jul 11: In a strong show of zero tolerance towards workplace harassment, the founder of a Goa-based startup, House of Creators, made headlines after terminating a newly appointed senior executive just five days into the job. The move came following what was described as a “humiliating” and “ego-driven” outburst at a junior employee during a team meeting.

The company’s founder, Jatin Saini, took to LinkedIn to share the incident, writing: “I hired someone on Monday and fired them on Friday. Not my proudest moment. Not the easiest conversation either.”

According to Saini, the episode unfolded during a routine assignment review held on a Friday evening. The senior executive, in a shocking display of unprofessional conduct, lashed out at a team member saying, “Did you leave your brain at home? If this is the best you can do, you should look for a new job. Bring your brain tomorrow or don’t bother coming.”

Deeply disturbed by the remarks, Saini decided to let the senior hire go the same day, stressing the company’s commitment to respectful communication and inclusive workplace culture.

Industry peers and netizens have lauded the founder’s swift action, calling it a much-needed stand against toxic behaviour in startups, where pressure and hierarchy can often blur the lines of professionalism.

In a space driven by innovation and collaboration, House of Creators' bold move is being seen as a reminder that no role, however senior, is above basic decency and respect.
