Two minor girls abducted in Cuncolim, police launch manhunt

Cuncolim, Jul 6: In a disturbing incident reported on Friday morning, two 15-year-old girls were allegedly kidnapped by unidentified individuals from the jurisdiction of Cuncolim Police Station in South Goa.

According to the FIR, one of the victims was abducted from her residence around 7:30 am, while the other, the daughter of a neighbouring family, was also taken from her lawful guardianship at approximately the same time.

The Cuncolim Police have registered a case under Section 137(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 8(2) of the Goa Children’s Act. A manhunt has been launched to trace the missing girls.

PSI Kishor Velip is leading the investigation, and efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the kidnappers. Authorities are appealing to the public for any information that could assist in locating the girls.
