Mumbai, Jun 26: Bollywood’s beloved sardaar is back — and this time, he’s bringing his trademark desi madness to the Scottish highlands. The teaser of ‘Son of Sardaar 2’, released on Wednesday, has already set social media ablaze, with fans celebrating the return of Ajay Devgn’s iconic character, Jassi.
Dropping the teaser on his official handles, Devgn wrote, “Sardaar ki entry ka countdown aaj se shuru. Welcome to the madness of Sardaar & Co.” And true to his words, what unfolds on screen is a colourful chaos of comedy, action, and heartwarming moments — quintessentially Sardaar style.
The teaser opens with Devgn donning the vibrant turban, oozing confidence and humour as he lands in Scotland with swagger. His comic timing, mixed with high-octane energy and emotional beats, sets the tone for what fans are calling a full-blown entertainer. Reactions poured in instantly — “Can’t wait Jassi paji,” exclaimed one fan, while another chimed in, “Oh Jassi paji, aap to chhaa gaye ho!”
Joining the madness this time is Mrunal Thakur, who plays Rabiya, Jassi’s charming and spirited love interest. Her onscreen presence adds freshness and spark, making her chemistry with Devgn a point of interest.
The ensemble cast brings in a riot of laughs and drama — with seasoned actors like Sanjay Mishra, Ravi Kishan, Neeru Bajwa, Ashwini Kalsekar, Kubbra Sait, and Vindu Dara Singh appearing in blink-and-miss yet impactful glimpses. A special moment in the teaser is the appearance of late actor Mukul Dev, reprising his role as Tony. Fans quickly expressed their emotions, with one noting, “Will miss our beloved Tony ??.”
Directed by Ashwni Dhir, who helmed the original 2012 hit, ‘Son of Sardaar 2’ promises to carry forward the legacy of laughter, family bonds, and cultural pride. While the release date is yet to be announced, the teaser alone is enough to stir up nostalgia and anticipation among fans.
With its blend of desi flavour and international setting, Son of Sardaar 2 looks set to be another blockbuster in Ajay Devgn’s long list of crowd-pleasers.
