Srinivas University, Institute of Aviation Studies organises industrial visit

Mangaluru, Jun 26: The Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, organized an industrial visit to Deccan Plast Industries Private Limited, Mangaluru on June 24, for the first year MBA aviation management students. The purpose of the visit was to provide students with practical exposure to the manufacturing processes and operational aspects of the plastic and polymer industry. A total of 15 students participated in the visit, which was successfully coordinated under the guidance of dean, Dr Pavithra Kumari, Anjana TV, head of the department, Sushmitha Das and Roshin K Sibi industrial visit coordinators.

During the visit, the students were taken on a comprehensive tour of the production facility, where they observed various stages of plastic product manufacturing. These included raw material processing, moulding techniques such as injection and blow moulding, quality control procedures, and final packaging. The technical staff at Deccan Plast Industries guided the students throughout the plant, offering detailed explanations about the functions and operations of the different machinery and technologies used in the production process.

The industrial visit proved to be an insightful and enriching experience, providing students with a first-hand understanding of industrial workflow, safety standards, and supply chain operations. Furthermore, it served to bridge the gap between theoretical classroom learning and practical Industrial practices by illustrating the real-time application of management principles. Overall, the Industrial visit significantly enhanced the students' awareness of the operational dynamics of the plastic and polymer industry and contributed meaningfully to their academic and professional development.
