These words beautifully captured the spirit of the day as St Agnes College (Autonomous), hosted its first-year student assembly to welcome the new batch of students for the academic year 2025-2026. The assembly was held over two days: Monday, June 23 for BCom and BBA students, and Tuesday, June 24 for BA, BSc, and BCA students.













Held in a warm and vibrant atmosphere, the event marked the beginning of an exciting chapter for first-year students - a chapter filled with new friendships, learning experiences, and personal growth. Students and parents gathered with enthusiasm, eager to be part of the Agnesian family.
The first-year assembly at St Agnes College began with a heartfelt prayer by the college choir and a graceful welcome dance by Sneha and team. Chethana, Dean of Commerce and Management, extended a warm welcome that made students and parents feel right at home.

A special highlight was the alumni interaction with Rhea Lilia Sequeira and Privy D’Souza, who shared their inspiring journey and encouraged students to enjoy both academics and extra-curriculars.
Principal Sr Dr M Venissa AC addressed the students with wisdom and warmth, while Shanthi Nazareth, Dean of Administration, clearly explained the college’s core values and discipline.
The Mother Veronica Merit Scholarships were awarded to 98 deserving meritorious students who scored more than 90% in the II PU examination held in March 2025.
The morning ended with a heartfelt vote of thanks and the college anthem, leaving students motivated for a vibrant year ahead.
This assembly was a celebration of beginnings, hope, and the bright future that awaits the new Agnesians.
