Mangaluru, Jun 23: On the occasion of International Day of Yoga 2025, Yenepoya Naturopathy and Yogic Science College and Hospital, Naringana, and Yenepoya Medical College, Mangaluru, in association with the Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy, New Delhi, and the Ministry of AYUSH, organised a seminar and workshop titled “Yoga Practices at Workplace for Medical Professionals” under the banner Yoga Samavesh. The programme was held at the MEU Auditorium, Yenepoya Medical College, from 12:00 pm to 1:15 pm.
The event began with a prayer by Ms Fathima Haris and was compered by fourth-year BNYS student Ms Farhana M R.



Dr Padmashree, coordinator of the event, delivered the welcome address and opening remarks, setting the tone for the session.
The keynote address was delivered by chief guest Dr Abhay Nirgude, dean of the department of community medicine, Yenepoya Medical College.
This was followed by sessions from the resource persons:
• Dr Prabha Adhikari, professor and head of the department of geriatric medicine, spoke on “Role of Yoga in Healthy Life”, and
• Dr Puneeth Raghavendra K R, principal of Yenepoya Naturopathy and Yogic Science College and Hospital, addressed the gathering on “Yoga Practice at the Workplace.”
Dr Musabba, principal of Yenepoya Medical College, delivered the presidential address, emphasising the importance of yoga in professional and personal well-being.
All guests and speakers were felicitated with mementoes as a token of appreciation.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Dr Pratheeksha, lecturer at Yenepoya Naturopathy and Yogic Science College and Hospital.
