International Yoga Day observed at Sri Mahalingeshwara Mahaganapathi temple

Udupi, Jun 23: International Yoga Day was observed by Sri Mahalingeshwara Mahaganapathi temple committee in association with Art of Living organization at Umamaheshwara auditorium.

Retired principal Marpalli Narayana Bhat inaugurated the yoga session. Addressing the gathering he said "Yoga has utmost importance in Sanatan dharma. Health follows yoga, it gives a break from various bad habits to human".

Narayana B, Udupi town police station officer; Lacchendra Devadiga, president Nadashri Credit cooperative society; Sundar J Matti Bailoor, senior yoga instructor; Shankar G Devadiga, retired manager Badagubettu credit cooperative society; M Madhusudhan Bhat and others graced the occasion.

Kambalamane Dinesh Shetty, president of the temple administration committee presided over the program.

Committee members Panduranga Naik, Vijayalakshmi M, Shankar Acharya, Chandravathi, and priest Anantha Upadhyay were present. M Lakshminarayana Rao welcomed the gathering, Umesh Shettigar presented the programme, and Shekhar Suvarna Marpalli gave the vote of thanks. Shaila Volakadu, who provided yoga training, was honored by the temple.
