Govt High School, Nalyapadavu, Shaktinagara observes International Yoga Day

Media Release

Mangaluru, Jun 21: Under the soft glow of the morning sun and a sky clear with promise, students and staff of Government High School, Nalyapadavu, Shaktinagara, gathered in front of the school on Saturday, June 21, to observe International Yoga Day with serenity and discipline.

The day began with a structured session led by the physical education teachers, who guided the students through basic warm-up exercises, chanting of yoga mantras, and mindful practices such as pranayama and Surya Namaskara in line with the official yoga protocol.

The headmaster addressed the assembly, highlighting the significance of the day and reminding everyone of this year’s official Yoga Day theme. He delivered a meaningful message, emphasising that Yoga should not be celebrated as a one-day event but embraced as a daily discipline. “Let us pledge to set aside a few minutes each day for ourselves—for our health and well-being,” he urged, before administering the Yoga Day pledge to the students and staff.

The event was conducted with precision and depth, leaving a lasting impression on all participants. It reinforced the importance of integrating yoga into daily life—not just for fitness, but for a calm and focused mind.
