Mumbai, Jun 21: Netflix’s The Great Indian Kapil Show is back with a bang for its third season, and the excitement has already reached fever pitch. The much-awaited premiere episode features Bollywood superstar Salman Khan as the first guest—and his revelations have already set the internet buzzing, even before the episode’s official telecast.

In a light-hearted and candid conversation with host Kapil Sharma, Salman shared a surprising backstory behind one of his most iconic on-screen looks—the long-haired appearance from his 2003 hit Tere Naam.

“The look was actually inspired by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam,” Salman revealed, much to the audience's amazement. “At the time, Rahul Roy also had a similar hairstyle. I felt that small-town heroes often had long hair, and many classic film heroes sported the same style. That’s where the idea came from.”

The revelation drew both laughter and admiration from the audience, blending nostalgia with an unexpected homage to India’s former President and beloved scientist.

But the surprises didn’t end there. The episode also saw Salman cheekily comment on fellow actor Aamir Khan’s recent public appearance with his new partner, Gauri Spratt. In a teaser video released by the show’s creators, Kapil teased Salman: “Aamir Bhai just introduced his fans to his girlfriend. He’s not stopping, but you aren’t even starting!”

With his signature wit, Salman quipped in response: “Aamir is something else. He’s a perfectionist—he won’t settle down until he perfects marriage itself!”

The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 3 premieres on Saturday, June 21 at 8 PM on Netflix, with new episodes scheduled to drop every Saturday. Packed with laughter, behind-the-scenes stories, and big-name guests, the show promises another season of unmissable entertainment.
