Mangaluru, Jun 20: The investiture ceremony was held on June 17 at St Mary’s High School, Falnir to encourage and kindle leadership qualities in students.
The ceremony commenced with a meaningful prayer service and lighting of the lamp by the headmistress Sr Sylvia Hilda Suares AC, joint secretary Sr Celine Vera AC, SPL Ansa Gijo and ASPL Thaima Mariyam. The headmistress administered the oath to the newly appointed cabinet. Each member of the student council then came forward to state her designation and duties. The headmistress pinned their badges on them. Students swore to serve their alma mater with utmost dedication, sincerity and honesty.

The chief guest for the event was Sr Celine Vera AC the joint secretary, who addressed the gathering with her inspiring words. In her talk, Sr congratulated the newly elected cabinet members & appreciated the school. She emphasized the importance of discipline, team work and integrity in student’s life.
Being elected to the cabinet is both an honor and responsibility, work with discipline, honesty, spirit of service, make decisions, keeping everyone’s well being in mind, be a role model for everyone and upheld the trust of our school by discharging your duties responsibly.
The headmistress concluded her address with a few words of advice to the students. The newly appointed student pupil leader, Ansa Gijo offered a word of thanks on behalf of the cabinet. Saanvi gave the vote of thanks. The ceremony concluded with a song of blessing and the school song.
