NITTE hosts executive development programme on innovation and knowledge sharing

Mangaluru, Jun 13: The department of community health nursing, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council, NITTE (deemed to be) University, organized an Executive Development Programme (EDP) on 'A smart approach to research communication: Innovate, navigate, knowledge' on June 10 at the Learning Centre, NUINS, Deralakatte. The programme began with an invocation and lamp-lighting ceremony, inaugurated by the resource person, Adv Jaspreeth Singh, along with Prof Dr Fatima D’Silva, principal, Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences; Dr Neetha Kamath, HOD, department of community health nursing; and Dr Suchithra B S, the organizing secretary.

The first session, led by Adv Jaspreeth Singh, founder and CEO of IP Quad, focused on the process of obtaining copyrights and patents, providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of intellectual property rights in research. This was followed by a session on scoping and narrative reviews by Dr Shalini G Nayak, assistant professor – senior scale, Manipal College of Nursing, MAHE, which emphasized systematic approaches to scholarly reviews. The afternoon featured a hands-on session on AI tools for manuscript preparation and journal submission, conducted by Dr Sneha Nayak, assistant professor grade III, NMAM Institute of Technology.







A total of 54 delegates, including postgraduate students, research scholars, and faculty members, actively participated in the programme.

The EDP successfully fulfilled its objective by equipping healthcare professionals and educators with advanced tools, knowledge, and confidence to engage in high-quality research communication, thereby promoting a research-oriented mindset and scholarly excellence.
