Mumbai, Jun 8: Legendary actor Dharmendra is set to star in the upcoming family drama “Maine Pyaar Kiya Phir Se,” whose mahurat ceremony was held in Mumbai on Sunday, marking the official start of production.
Speaking to IANS at the event, actor Deepak Tijori, who attended as a special guest, expressed his enthusiasm for the project. “I’m thrilled to see them working on such a promising film,” he said. “They’re aiming for a quick release, and I wish the entire team, especially Ronnie sir, all the best. It’s wonderful that they’re introducing two newcomers with this family-centric movie.”
Actress Vidya Malvade, who plays a key role in the film, also shared her excitement. “I’m extremely happy to be part of this project,” she said. “It’s a social drama—something we haven’t seen in a long time. The story revolves around a couple and their two kids, with plenty of drama, fun, and comedy. It’s a very sweet, simple film.” She added that working alongside Dharmendra is “a dream come true.”
Renowned singer Udit Narayan, who has recorded one of the tracks for the film, also sent his best wishes to the team. “I’d like to congratulate Ronnie sir and the entire team,” he said. “The music, composed by Dilip and Sameer Sen with lyrics by Ronnie ji himself, is beautiful. Songs with heart and melody always stand the test of time.”
Produced by Ronnie Rodrigues, “Maine Pyaar Kiya Phir Se” features an ensemble cast including Dharmendra, Rajpal Yadav, Arbaaz Khan, and Vidya Malvade. The film is expected to hit theaters in November this year.
