Mangaluru, Jun 7: The department of BBA IMC at Srinivas University, observed World Environment Day on June 5 with enthusiasm and commitment to environmental sustainability. The event was organized by the NSS coordinators Prof Bharathi and Prof Yashwini and held at the university quadrangle.
The celebration began with a tree plantation drive in the university quadrangle, where all faculty members actively participated by planting new saplings. The initiative aimed to create awareness among students and staff about the importance of greenery and sustainable living practices.


In a unique gesture of environmental responsibility, the students of the BBA department participated in a ‘Plant at Home’ campaign too. As part of this initiative, few students planted saplings at their respective homes. The activity fostered a personal connection with the environment and encouraged eco-friendly behaviour beyond the campus.
Dr Venkatesh Amin dean, IMC Srinivas University, Prof Shilpa HOD, course coordinator Prof Shwetha and all the faculties of BBA department were thanked along with Roopa for her continuous support, guidance, and encouragement and also to the attenders in making this event successful.
The celebration of World Environment Day was a meaningful and impactful event that reminded everyone of their responsibility toward protecting and nurturing nature. The enthusiastic participation from both faculty and students highlighted the university's commitment to environmental awareness and action.
