Media Release

Karkala, Jun 2: An awareness programme titled 'Discipline and Life' was organised for the I PUC students at Christ King Pre-University College, Karkala. The keynote speaker for the session was retired Air vice marshal Ramesh Karnik.

Addressing the students, Karnik highlighted the essence of discipline in life. “Discipline is the ability to keep oneself under physical and mental control. True discipline arises only when the mind is under control. It is only through discipline that life gains meaning and beauty,” he said.

He further stressed that humility and obedience are marks of a good personality. Encouraging students to cultivate a patriotic spirit, he urged them to consider joining the armed forces and serving the nation. “No matter what challenges life throws at us, we must never be led towards despair,” he advised.

The programme concluded with an interactive session where students engaged in a dialogue with the resource person. Faculty members of the institution were present during the event, and the session was coordinated by the vice principal, Prakash Bhat.
