Udupi: International Nurses Day celebrated at Adarsha Hospital

Udupi, Jun 2: Recognizing the vital role that nurses play in protecting and improving patient health, Adarsha Hospital in Udupi celebrated International Nurses Day with great respect and enthusiasm.

The event's chief guest was Yashoda, vice principal of Adarsha College of Nursing, and the programme was inaugurated by Vimala Chandrashekar, chief operating officer of Adarsha Hospital. On this special occasion, Nagaveni, the newly appointed nursing supervisor, was welcomed into the Adarsh Hospital team. The celebration served as a heartfelt tribute to nurses and their continued dedication and service in the field of healthcare.

The programme began with a welcome address by Sister Shaila, followed by a vote of thanks by Sister Manisha. The event was compered by Anushree, the hospital's dietitian.

Several distinguished medical professionals also graced the occasion, including Dr G S Chandrashekar, medical director of Adarsha Hospital, Dr Mohan Das Shetty, orthopedic specialist, Dr Prashanth Shetty, general surgeon, Dr Ranjitha S Nayak, obstetrician, and Dr Ashok Kumar Y G, senior physician.
