Pawan Kalyan film producer meets Telangana CM, seeks ticket price hike

Daijiworld Media Network – Hyderabad

Hyderabad, May 30: M Rathnam, producer of Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s much-anticipated historical epic Hari Hara Veera Mallu, met Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Friday to discuss the film and the crucial issue of ticket pricing for big-budget releases in the state.

Sharing details of the meeting on social media platform X, Rathnam wrote, “Today, I had the honour of meeting Hon’ble @TelanganaCMO Sri @revanth_anumula garu to discuss our film #HariHaraVeeraMallu. This project is a passion-driven historical epic set in the 17th century during the Mughal period, depicting the Battle of Dharma. It is made on a grand scale with great attention to authenticity and detail, far beyond the scope of a regular commercial film.”

The producer also took the opportunity to push for a revision in film ticket prices in Telangana, a move he deemed vital for films mounted on such grand scales. “I sincerely thank Hon’ble CM garu for his valuable time, warm reception, and encouraging words. His support means a lot to us and to the Telugu film industry,” he added.

Sources close to the unit confirmed that Rathnam urged the Chief Minister to consider a ticket price hike, citing the significant production cost and ambitious scale of the film.

Directed by A M Jothi Krisna, Hari Hara Veera Mallu features Pawan Kalyan in a Robinhood-like avatar, with Nidhi Aggarwal as the female lead and Bollywood star Bobby Deol playing the role of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.

“This is a 16th-century story. Bobby Deol plays Aurangazeb. It’s based on a lesser-known incident from the Mughal era. The film is part fiction, part fact, and Pawan Kalyan plays a thief,” director Jothi Krisna had earlier revealed.

The first part of the film, titled Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 – Sword Vs Spirit, is set to release on June 12. The film boasts music by M M Keeravaani, cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa and Gnanashekar V S, production design by Thota Tharani, and editing by National Award-winner K L Praveen.

The ensemble cast includes Nassar, Sathyaraj, Thalaivasal Vijay, Raghu Babu, Subbaraju, and Sunil among others, making it one of the most awaited releases of the year.
