Panaji, May 29: In a move to promote wellness and celebrate International Yoga Day on June 21, 2025, the Goa government has issued a directive mandating all government employees to participate in yoga sessions. These sessions can be held either within office premises or at nearby institutions such as schools and panchayats.

A circular issued today instructs all employees to join the yoga activities. Those attending sessions outside their workplace are required to submit a selfie as proof of participation to their department heads.

Additionally, all Heads of Departments (HoDs) have been directed to ensure proper arrangements are made for the events. They must also register their respective programs on the ‘Yoga Sangam’ platform and upload participation data to maintain records.

The initiative aims to foster a culture of health and fitness among government staff while encouraging the practice of yoga as a holistic wellness tool.
