‘Fauji 2.0’ marks 100 episodes, celebrates India’s armed forces with renewed patriotism

Mumbai, May 28: The patriotic television drama Fauji 2.0, produced by Sandeep Singh in collaboration with Doordarshan, has reached a major milestone—completing 100 episodes. A revival of the iconic 1988 series Fauji, which introduced Shah Rukh Khan to Indian audiences, the show has found resonance with viewers across generations for its heartfelt tribute to the armed forces.

Sandeep Singh, the creative force behind the modern reboot, expressed pride in the achievement, stating, “India needed its heroes celebrated again. This show is a tribute to our armed forces and a salute to the indomitable Indian spirit.”

Actress Gauahar Khan, portraying a strong female officer, shared that her role aims to inspire young girls to dream of serving the nation. “I’m grateful to be part of a story that empowers and uplifts,” she said.

Actor Vicky Jain, who plays a key role, reflected on the personal growth he experienced through the project. “The discipline and honor of the military world changed me, both on and off screen. Reaching 100 episodes feels like winning a battle for creativity.”

Gaurav Dwivedi, CEO of Doordarshan, noted the show’s cultural significance, saying, “Fauji 2.0 continues Doordarshan’s legacy of uniting the nation through meaningful content rooted in pride and patriotism.”

The series premiered on DD National on November 18, 2024, and also streams digitally on Waves. As it celebrates this landmark, Fauji 2.0 continues to shine a spotlight on the courage and commitment of India’s armed forces.
