Mangaluru: Anweshan-2025 national level paper presentation competition held at Milagres College

Mangaluru, May 26: Anveshan-2025, a national level paper presentation, was organized for students by Milagres College, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) on May 26.

The chief guest of the event was Dr Linus Benedicta Pinto, former professor/research guide for Management and Education Srinivas University, Mangaluru. Addressing the students, she emphasized that "research is a creative and systematic work undertaken to increase the stock of knowledge. It involves the collection, organization, and analysis of evidence to enhance understanding of a subject."

Another chief guest, Dr Paul G Aquinas, professor and chairman Department of Postgraduate Studies and Research in Social Work at Mangalore University, stated, “In simple terms, research is the pursuit of knowledge and the quest for truth. Formally, it is a systematic study of a problem that is deliberately chosen and tackled using a purposeful strategy.”

The principal, Dr Michael Santhumayor, and IQAC coordinator, Chetana Kumari, were also present on the dais.

Glancia Fernandes, head of the Department of Business Administration, welcomed the gathering. The programme was compered by student representative Tenzil, and the event coordinator, Dr Asha Jyothi, delivered the vote of thanks.

About 21 students participated in the paper presentation meet and presented their research papers. Cash prizes were awarded to those who presented the best papers. Certificates were distributed to all participants during the valedictory session.
